The Quantum Women Day
On April 15, 2025, Nuclear Instruments participated at the University of Insubria “Quantum Woman Day”. This event—dedicated to highlighting women’s contributions in STEM—brought together students, researchers, and enthusiasts for a day of inspiration and dialogue about diversity in scientific fields.
Showcasing Our Tech & Talk
We created a compact exhibition area where we demonstrated several of our flagship electronic systems, illustrating how they enable high-precision measurements in physics experiments. During our talk, we introduced Nuclear Instruments as a young, dynamic company committed to tackling challenges posed by cutting-edge research groups. We also reflected on the day’s theme—gender differences in STEM—sharing personal experiences and industry insights.
Engaging Conversations on Inclusivity
The informal setting encouraged open dialogue: students and visitors asked questions about career paths, work–life balance, and strategies to close the gender gap in technical–scientific environments. We emphasized that, while our team benefits from an inclusive culture, the broader community still has work to do to ensure equal opportunities for all.
Reflections & Thanks
Participating in Quantum Woman Day reinforced our commitment to mentorship and diversity. We left inspired by the enthusiasm and determination of the next generation of scientists. A heartfelt thank you to the University of Insubria for inviting us, and to Prof. Alessia Allevi for organizing such a meaningful event.
