Heading to Young Orienta
From November 14 to 16, 2024, the Nuclear Instruments team participated in the “Young Orienta – Il Tuo Futuro” fair in Como. This event is tailored to high school students exploring future study and career paths, with universities, technical institutes, and industry players all in attendance. For us, it was the perfect opportunity to showcase our company, introduce students to careers in scientific electronics, and highlight the possibilities of combining physics and engineering in real-world applications.
Informative Booth & Live Demos
At our stand, we set up a welcoming information table alongside live demos of several of our data-acquisition systems. The illuminated modules drew in curious visitors, allowing them to see first-hand how our hardware captures and processes signals in experiments. We explained each demo’s basic operation, from signal generation to real-time visualization, sparking questions about measurement techniques and system design.
Connecting with Students and Industry
Throughout the three days, our engineers engaged in conversations with dozens of high schoolers, teachers, and fellow exhibitors. We discussed study tracks—physics, electronics, computer science—and the types of skills needed for careers in research instrumentation. At the same time, we exchanged insights with other local companies about regional talent development and emerging trends in scientific instrumentation.
Reflections & Thanks
Young Orienta – Il Tuo Futuro proved to be an excellent platform for meeting enthusiastic students eager to learn and for networking with educational institutions and industry partners. We left Como energized by the many thoughtful questions and promising connections. A special thank you to the fair organizers for creating an inspiring environment that bridges education and industry—here’s to shaping the future of scientific innovation together!
