Description
The DT5800 is a dual-channel digital detector emulator designed to simulate radiation detection signals in real time. It operates in three modes:
- Pulser Mode: Generates pulses with user-defined amplitude and rate, supporting constant or Poisson distributions.
- Detector Emulator Mode: Simulates complete detection systems by emulating energy spectra, time distributions, signal shapes, noise, and baseline drift.
- Waveform Generator Mode: Outputs arbitrary waveforms from stored or imported data.
Key features include:
- 12 ps/step programmable delay generator for precise timing applications.
- Correlated signal generation on both channels for testing coincidence systems.
- Multiple signal shapes on a single channel to evaluate pulse shape discrimination techniques.
- Noise and interference emulation, including white noise, 1/f noise, and baseline drift.
- USB 2.0 interface and Windows-compatible control software for easy configuration and operation.
The DT5800 is ideal for developing and testing data acquisition systems, providing a versatile tool for simulating various detector responses without the need for radioactive sources.
