Description

The A7590D is a single-channel, isolated (floating) high-voltage regulator specifically designed for biasing Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPM). It provides a digitally-controlled adjustable output up to 80 V with a maximum current of 50 mA and a 1 mV setting resolution, together with a built-in temperature-compensation controller with programmable coefficient and remote temperature sensing.

Its floating output can be used as either a floating or a non-isolated supply, and a high-resolution monitoring chain (24-bit ADC) with optional PID stabilization delivers precise, real-time read-back of voltage, current and temperature — making it well suited to demanding SiPM readout in a compact, PCB-mountable module.

Key Features:

  • Floating / isolated output: usable as a floating or non-isolated supply.
  • Adjustable output: 2–75 V range (80 V / 50 mA class), with a programmable ramp starting from 1.2 V and 1 mV output step.
  • Low noise: 560 µVrms at 50 mA.
  • Digital and analog control: I²C, UART, USB and analog-voltage control.
  • SiPM temperature compensation: HV compensation with remote temperature sensing and programmable coefficient.
  • High-resolution monitoring: 100 µV voltage monitor, 100 nA current monitor, 0.05 °C temperature monitor.
  • Programmable over-current protection.
  • Open-source libraries: C/C++ and Python for control and integration.
  • ZEUS software: control and monitor multiple devices from a single graphical interface.
  • Flexible mounting: THT- and SMT-compatible footprint.

Compared with the A7585D, the A7590D adds an isolated / floating output, a higher 50 mA current capability, higher-resolution monitoring (100 µV / 100 nA / 0.05 °C) and programmable over-current protection — while keeping the same digital/analog control philosophy, temperature compensation and ZEUS software support.
